Bolting is a survival mechanism in which the plants flower early to shed off its seeds to survive the summer and the long days.
The students learned about Bolting in lettuce from the garden. Students have been learning about various plants while helping grow these plants. QAS science and sustainability has been working hard on its garden growing various plants and vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, eggplants, radishes and carrots.
